The Hospital has a new Pole Clinical Technology that includes: 1 Positron Emission Tomography (PET), 3 Computed axial tomography (CAT), 3 Magnetic Resonance, 3 Linear Accelerators, 2 Angiography and 1 MID (Iron Metal Detector) unique in the world.

In 2008 the Galliera celebrated the first 120 years of activity (1888-2008). During this time was presented to the City the project to build the New Hospital in a short time.

The Italian National Registry of Bone Marrow Donors is located inside the Hospital Galliera.
